“Double Southern” Pecan Peach Bread

This bread is a delicious baked good that combines the rich flavors of pecans and the natural sweetness of ripe peaches. It’s a perfect treat for breakfast, brunch, or as a delicious snack with a cup of tea or coffee.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Better Halves Natural Pecans, coarsely chopped
  • 2 large peaches, peeled, pitted, and cut into chunks
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons milk

Directions:

  1. Peel and cut up the peaches. Set aside and chop the pecans.
  2. In a large bowl stir together the sugar, milk, oil, and eggs. Now mix in the flour, salt, and baking powder. Note: The batter will be a bit dry.
  3. Fold in the peaches and pecans until thoroughly blended.
  4. Spoon the batter into a standard 9×5″ loaf pan or two smaller size half pans.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 50-60 minutes, or until knife inserted into the loaf comes out clean. Allow it to cool or 20 minutes.
  6. In a small bowl whisk together the milk and powdered sugar. Drizzle over the cooled bread just before serving.
